2018-2019 Innovation in Education Grant Application

Applications are open for the 2018-2019 Innovation in Education Grants! Please use the following form to submit your proposal: http://bit.ly/2LixUxp

Staff members from all grade levels who are employed by the Sioux Falls School District are eligible to apply for a grant from the Education Foundation. The selection committee will consider enhancements to existing curriculum, proposals that teach concepts in an innovative and creative way, projects that align with curriculum and teaching standards, activities that are implemented school-wide or in one classroom, projects that will be completed by the end of the school year, and activities that support the mission of the Sioux Falls School District.

Grant proposals may include projects that require the purchase of equipment or software. If installation or maintenance costs will be incurred, please receive approval from your building principal before submitting the proposal. Applications requesting salary or employee travel costs will not be considered.  Any orders placed on Amazon should link to the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation on Amazon Smile as the nonprofit to benefit from purchase.

Applications may be for any amount up to $10,000. Proposals requesting more than $3,000 may be asked to give a formal presentation to the panel. This is a competitive grant process. A committee of five members evaluate the proposals and make recommendations to the Education Foundation board of directors.

Proposals are due February 22, 2019 and must be completed on Google Forms by 12 p.m. (noon). If you have questions during the grant process, please contact Allison Struck, executive director of the Education Foundation, by calling 605.367.4484.

During the 2017-2018 school year, the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation awarded more than $57,000 through the Innovation in Education Grant Program.
