To kick off the New Year, Graham Automotive Group presented the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation with a $10,000 check to support grant programs for teachers. This gift was in addition to the “Graham Automotive Group Funding Classrooms” campaign that started in August 2019 and ended on December 31st. Through that program, any licensed driver who test drove a vehicle from their lot got to donate a $20 gift card to any teacher in the Sioux Falls School District.
“Graham Automotive Group has been celebrating our teachers since the start of the school year, and we were thrilled to be able to partner with them on this initiative,” said Allison Struck, executive director of the Education Foundation. “The incredible $10,000 donation, on top of all of the gift cards, will help us advance our mission.”
Through the “Graham Automotive Group Funding Classrooms” campaign, 132 educators received gift cards to purchase classroom materials. Teachers used the gift cards to buy hand sanitizer, dry erase markers, art supplies, pumpkins that students decorated this fall, Kleenex, special treats for students, flash cards, mini globes for geography class, and more.
Educators from 31 schools within the Sioux Falls School District received gift cards through this promotion. The $10,000 will be used to support Public School Proud Grants and First Time Teacher Grants.
