COVID-19 Update from the Sioux Falls School District

The Sioux Falls School District’s goal during this national health concern is to minimize the risk for staff, students, and the community while optimizing alternate and remote learning methods. While we do not believe remote learning is a superior delivery method to face-to-face interactions, we do believe it is an excellent option in the circumstance we find ourselves in today.

Sioux Falls schools are closed through Friday, March 27, 2020.  Remote learning for students will begin next week.  On Monday, March 23, 2020, teachers will contact parents to provide more details.  If a parent does not hear from a teacher, he/she should call the school office on Tuesday, March 24.

Free breakfasts and lunches will continue at six school locations from 11:30-12:30 p.m. Monday through Friday next week (March 23-27). Those locations are: Laura B. Anderson, Hawthorne, Hayward, Anne Sullivan, Terry Redlin, and Lowell.  Healthy children, ages 1 to 18, should come to the school, if possible, to receive the free grab-and-go meals.
