Public School Proud Grant Application Opens

The Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation is now accepting proposals for the 2019-2020 Public School Proud Grants (formerly known as Innovation in Education Grants)! Teachers from all grade levels who are employed by the Sioux Falls School District are eligible to apply for up to $10,000.

A few weeks ago, the Education Foundation received a $50,000 donation from Verizon to use for STEM materials. If there are teachers who have an idea related to those fields, this is the perfect opportunity. The Foundation will, however, also award non-STEM grants. If teachers have creative projects for social studies, language development, music, PE, geography, art, literature, government, foreign language, etc., they are encouraged to apply.

The Education Foundation wants teachers to submit their next big idea. The proposals are screened by a committee of six members, and these individuals want to know how the materials will enhance the classroom and benefit students. It is a competitive process.

Applications requesting salary, employee travel, conference costs, or reimbursements for items already purchased will not be considered.

Proposals are due Friday, January 10th at 10 a.m. Here is the link to the application: http://bit.ly/33RmHvW
