The Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation partnered with Starbucks to provide coffee to educators at six schools on October 10, 2023. Staff had in-service during the day and conferences in the evening, and they appreciated the extra boost of caffeine in the afternoon. Staff at Robert Frost Elementary, Laura Wilder Elementary, JFK Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Harvey Dunn Elementary, and John Harris Elementary received coffee.
This is the third time Starbucks has partnered with the Education Foundation in the last year. In December 2022, Starbucks donated hundreds of tumblers, mugs, water bottles, and coffee. Education Foundation staff distributed the items throughout the Sioux Falls School District.
In July 2023, Starbucks donated eight boxes of drinkware, and Education Foundation staff will provide them to school staff as part of their 15th anniversary celebrations throughout the 2023-2024 year.
